The Meta-owned platform is pushing out this capability for both iOS and Android, claims WhatsApp news aggregator WABetaInfo. According to reports, WhatsApp is releasing a capability for both iOS and Android that enables users to shoot and share clips with a runtime of up to 60 seconds in order to give consumers an improved way to quickly communicate through short videos.

According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp-related news and updates, this is the case.
How Does The Feature Operate?

An individual’s private discussion with another WhatsApp user will have the option to record snippets of up to 60 seconds, as demonstrated in the image above. The sender must then hit the microphone button, which is located on the bottom right of your phone’s screen.
The tool has been enabled on your WhatsApp account if the microphone changes into a video camera. You must ‘hold’ the video camera to record your clip and tap it to switch to audio, as can be seen in the screenshot that is attached. Additionally, in order to receive video messages, users must update their WhatsApp version.
Additionally, it should be noted that this capability is end-to-end encrypted, meaning that neither parties to the conversation, nor the instant messaging service owned by Meta, can view these video chats.
Availability
