The ‘Help Me Write’ Function Of Google Is Now Accessible On Both Android And iOS.

At Google I/O 2023, Workspace Labs drew attention with Generative AI. The dominant search engine demonstrated how its numerous AI-integrated product rollouts are improving the user experience. Gmail is one such product. With ‘Help Me Write,’ Google provided us a sneak preview of what emails might look like in the future. Users of Android and iOS may now test out the experience. You may now test out “Help Me Write” on your Android and iOS devices if you signed up for Google’s Workspace Labs early on. You can use this feature to take use of generative AI’s capabilities both when writing and responding to emails.

For those of you who have signed up, the Workspace Labs welcome window will appear as soon as you click the Compose button and will give you a brief explanation of what “Help me write” entails. You can use AI to generate suggestions for your email as you are writing it. To proceed, select the ‘Help me write’ option in the lower right corner of your screen.

Enter the content’s highlighted pointers in the prompt window. Give AI as much information as you can, for instance, if you require compensation for a cancelled aeroplane ticket, so that it can understand the tone and purpose of your email. Remember that ‘Help me write’ will find it easier to create the right email the more specific your information is.

Generative AI will write the email for you after you press enter. You may either click Insert to include the information to the body of your email or Refresh to get a fresh prompt. Additionally, you will be able to further customise your email at the granular level. Your comment can be condensed, formalised more, expanded upon, and much more.

This feature has begun to roll out globally to users of Android and iOS. It is still only available to Google Workspace Labs’ early adopters, though.
