British Beer Prices have been Reduced by 75%
Following the signing of a free trade agreement between India and the UK, taxes on British beer have been reduced by 75 percent. British beer brands are now available at very low prices in India. Taxes have also been reduced on British beer, scotch and whisky. So, a bottle of beer that used to cost Rs 200 in India will now be available for Rs 50.
Till now, British beer was taxed at up to 150 percent in India. Now, under the FTA agreement, this tax has been reduced to 75 percent. The direct benefit of this tax reduction will be on its rate, due to which the rate will be reduced. The benefit of the rate reduction will be for the beer lovers. Now British beer will be available in India at a very cheap price.
