An interesting new feature for both Android and iPhone users, HD video sharing, has been formally revealed by WhatsApp. Following the release of HD photographs, this update gives users the option to share priceless memories with loved ones in high-definition.
The addition of HD video capability is going to improve the sharing process, much as WhatsApp’s HD photographs feature allows users to enjoy the clarity of their shared images. Up until now, the platform’s videos were 480p-only due to the app’s previous resolution cap. Users can now opt to send films in HD thanks to this new functionality.

Letting Recipients Decide
Similar to sharing HD photos, sharing HD videos on WhatsApp results in a little “HD” badge that can be seen by the recipient. This badge lets people know that you shared the HD version of the video. Because of this transparency, viewers can choose whether they have the bandwidth and storage space required to see the film in full HD at that precise moment.
WhatsApp HD Video Sharing Availability
Users are currently receiving the HD video-sharing feature. Don’t worry if you don’t have it yet; it will likely soon be on your device. With the addition of HD video sharing, WhatsApp has continued its dedication to improving the user experience.
