How To Use The Discover People By Location Feature On Telegram To Find New Friends
The instant messaging feature of Telegram has recently gained popularity among users. The number of users on Telegram apparently increased by more than 70 million after WhatsApp’s recent outage. Similar to WhatsApp, Telegram provides a function that enables users to contact their closest friends or acquaintances using the phone number they have registered on the app.

How to use the Find People by Location feature on Telegram
Users can open the Telegram app and choose the three-line icon in the top-right corner of the Telegram home page to connect with others in your neighbourhood. Next click “Contacts” under the “Account Settings” option. Click Add People Nearby to look for additional Telegram accounts in your area.
Other Telegram accounts that are nearby will be displayed by Telegram. Look for users you know by scrolling down to see who uses Telegram. In addition to seeing your own connections, you may also see nearby Telegram Groups. The proximity of each contact or group to your current location will determine how they are organised.
Once you’ve located the individuals or groups you connected to your Telegram account, select “Make Myself Visible” to make your account visible under the Add People Nearby feature. Then, when other Telegram users look for Telegram accounts nearby, they will be able to see your account (other Telegram users). By choosing the “Create a Local Group” menu, you can also create a local group.
The Locate People by Location feature can be turned off by clicking “Stop Showing Me” if you don’t want your account to reappear on the Telegram accounts of people nearby. This will prevent your account from appearing there again.
