Important news for HDFC Bank and Axis Bank customers. Digital services of both the banks will be temporarily suspended on June 8, 2025. UPI, net banking and other digital services will not be available during this period.This information has been communicated to bank customers through email and SMS.
HDFC Bank Service Downtime
HDFC Bank will be undertaking maintenance work on 8th June 2025 from 2:30 AM to 6:30 AM (4 hours) to upgrade its services. The following services will be down during this time: UPI transactions linked to HDFC Bank Savings and Current Accounts.
UPI payments through HDFC Bank’s RuPay credit card: UPI services linked to HDFC accounts on HDFC Mobile Banking App and third party apps like Paytm, Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay.
Merchant UPI transactions through HDFC Bank: The bank has advised customers to use PayZapp wallet at this time. In addition, customers have been asked to pay for urgent transactions in advance.This maintenance is being done to enhance the quality and security of digital banking services.
Axis Bank Service Downtime
Axis Bank has also issued a maintenance notice on June 6, 2025. On this day, Axis Bank’s credit card transactions will be closed from 2:00 AM to 2:45 AM (45 minutes). During this time, customers will not be able to make any payments through credit cards. The bank has apologized to customers for this inconvenience by informing them in advance.
Advisory for Customers
Both banks have advised customers to pay for urgent transactions in advance at this time. HDFC Bank customers can use alternative wallets like PayZapp. In addition, customers have been asked to use other banks’ digital services or cash. This maintenance work is necessary to make the bank’s services more efficient and secure.
